Alice In Wonderland

We have had a busy start to the week after many hours, drawing, designing, cutting, installing and now just admiring the new Alice in Wonderland window at made590!

We have all wanted to do an Alice in Wonderland window for AGES and it just so happens that it goes up just before new Tim Burton movie comes out!! yay we are looking forward to that too!

We spent some time over Christmas adding a little fun to our nephew Toby’s room! No wall was left untouched and the animal chalkboards were a great big hit (as was the big bucket of chalk) Here’s just a few pics, before and after! We also got him a great play rug with a farmyard on it – he really loves animals so it was a big hit! Lx

the Finders Keepers

We had such fun at the Finders Keepers last weekend! Here are a few shots for those who didn’t make it along! Stay tuned for the final winner in our design a brooch competition, we still have to narrow it down to 5 or so – there are so many great ones!! xx

Setting up the stalls on Friday - we cut, painted and applied vinyl to 7 MDF boards to make sure we had somewhere great to display our wall stickers.

The silent partner responsible for making the MDF boards all happen! What would we do without you Ben xx

The Best Thing That Happened Today

Slow Loris Drawing

Kell turned up at my place and she had drawn these AMAZING little Slow Loris drawings (she may have noticed my recent obsession with these super cute creatures?). We may have to make him into a brooch I think. I still want one as a pet, shame we can’t have cool animals like this for pets in Australia!

We have also discovered another animal that is much better than a possum, it’s called a Tarsier, I want one of these too! This is a great video, I love the way he chews – too cute!

Our stall at Finders Keepers

We had a super fun weekend down at the Finders Keepers markets, thanks to everyone who made it down and to those who didn’t here are some photos of our stall – we spent all week working on the stock for this stall so thanks to everyone one who came down and made a purchase. We have to take all the little bits and pieces out of every design before we can send it out. Expedit Bookcases

Everytime i look at this bookcase I wonder what everyone did with all their “stuff” before Ikea invented it. I’d love to know how many 100’s of thousands they have sold in the past few years – there are even Flickr groups devoted to just this bookcase. Thank you Ikea – you may have long lines and be completely stressful to visit but you make our lives better.
