Lately there has been a lot of lovely people in my life having birthdays and being the festive season too, there is no need for an excuse to bake anyway. But here are some of my latest attempts for you to see. The cookies are on these great ceramic cat & bunny plates, Lynds gave me the bunny one from when she op-shopped in Melbourne and I stole the cat from mum. They are great! Also see the great pink plastic heart cut out doily I got at Ikea last time I was there. Kx
So we said we would choose 5 winners but it as hard enough choosing 10 so we are going to make the following 10 designs into one-of-a-kind brooches, congratulations guys!! Drawings were not only judged on the drawing but whether we could see it making a great brooch or not…. We think all of these are going to be fantastic! We will be in contact with the winners to let them know when they will be receiving their brooch!
We had a little competition at the Finders Keepers to see if anyone out there had a great idea for a brooch design. Here are all the entries! We will be posting winners a little later in the day and making our custom brooches as soon as we can! Click them to view bigger!

We had such fun at the Finders Keepers last weekend! Here are a few shots for those who didn’t make it along! Stay tuned for the final winner in our design a brooch competition, we still have to narrow it down to 5 or so – there are so many great ones!! xx

Setting up the stalls on Friday - we cut, painted and applied vinyl to 7 MDF boards to make sure we had somewhere great to display our wall stickers.

When visiting made590 the other day I took a couple of quick snaps at all the wonderful things in there for Christmas and I thought I’d share in case you have never been to Sydney’s best store! I just love this store, not only because its 4 minutes drive from my house or because they have been such a great support for Made by White over the past few years but because there is no other store like it, in Sydney or anywhere else I have been. Great clothes, great gifts, great everything!! Lots available online too!
I always dread the day that Christina says we need to do a Christmas window, Christmas to me is just so tacky and boring! but I think the Gingerbread House we created this year is just great! We have also designed a fab die cut Christmas postcard (below) which will only be available instore and at the Finders Keepers this Friday and Saturday!

Excitement is building for what is destined to be the best market Sydney has ever seen!! The Finders Keepers is on this Friday and Saturday and we will be there selling lots and lots of new things (and some old favourites) we have new jewellery designs, tote bag designs (not available anywhere else) some (very) limited edition tshirts and all our favourite wall stickers coming along with us to ensure there is something at our stall to please EVERYONE!! YAY!!

There is also going to be nearly twice as much space as last time (well it seams from the floor plan) with over 80 designers, artists, photographers, musicians etc – such fun!
So make sure you come along to support independent design and do all your christmas shopping in one place!! Lets face it, its going to be much more fun that going to Westfield! (boo) MBW x
While we were down in Melbourne a few weeks ago we visited the melbourne aquarium to see the King Penguins! I’ve been dreaming of going on a trip to Antarctica for a few years now (it costs an absolute bomb though so I have no hope). This was the next best thing!! The enclosure at the Aquarium is so great you can get really close to them (even though they are behind glass) and they come right up to the glass to see who you are, very, very cute!
Here’s a few of the snaps we got :) Lx

This one was shedding his feathers

This is by far my favourite shot - so crazy looking!

I love it when you go to google first thing in the morning and they have done something smart with their logo! and how great was last week with all the Sesame Street characters featured! Fantastic!! We grew up watching Sesame Street, (along with everyone else I’m sure) each character has such a great personality of its own, that’s why its lasted 40 years I suppose, because its just so loveable.
You can view all the google/sesame street logos here. You can also download high res versions of them all too! yay! L x
Last week visited country Victoria and made some lovely new friends when we visited Lark for the day, their HQ and beautiful retail store are a real inspiration, filled with SO many beautiful things I just couldn’t decide what I needed… I now regret of course not buying one of the super cute dolls just below and ALL of the beautiful books they had there too – luckily they also sell their wonderful products online so all can enjoy.
If you are looking for a relaxing few days in the country Daylesford is the place! Lx
