A little what I wore I snapped the other day, could be one of the last photographed in my lovely little attic sadly, as we’ve been told we have to move!! And so starts the terrible business of house hunting.
What I Wore:
Dress: Vintage from Amsterdam
Belt: H&M
Tights: Target
Shoes: Vintage from etsy
Scarf: Vintage from opshop
Brooch: Gift from my the lovely Mechelle Smitten!
I Apologise in advance for anyone who follows me on instagram and feels this post is a little “seen it” for them, but for everyone else I’ve been snapping outfits every morning before work (or daily outings) which I’ve found a lot easier than setting up the camera in the boiling hot attic and standing around till I get a couple of good ones for my “What I Wore” posts. I use a cute program called “Picstitch” on my iPhone to throw them all together and highlight different details of my outfits. It’s all a bit of fun, and usually I don’t have time to do a proper shoot of my work outfits, so it’s a good substitute with little time in the morning! Here are some recent highlights. (and if you do want to follow me on instagram your can search for me under “Thestorybookrabbit”) Kx
Here’s the second cute embroidered dress that arrived last week. This ones become a new favourite, the ocre yellow, the heavy embroidery, the little lace panel in the sleeve, there’s nothing I don’t like about this one. Do also note I chopped off my hair last week! It’s very liberating and annoying me already.
Dress: Napkin Items Etsy Shop – super cute styling here, check it out!
Belt: Vintage
Clogs: Nordic Fusion
Cardigan: Vintage
Tights: Falke (definitely the best tights I’ve ever bought!)
Last week I got two beautiful embroidered dresses in the mail I nabbed off etsy. I absolutely love crosshatch, embroidery, or anything bright and crazy coloured, so they fit the bill perfectly. This cute little dress was from Young Captive a vintage shop run by Olivia Mew who is also an amazing artist! You can see her work here, in her other etsy shop Fever Few. I also got a beautiful bunting strand with a persian cat, birds and little mice on it, which I’m sure I will post at a later date.
Embroidered Dress: Young Captive
Cardigan: Gorman (I may have visited the outlet on the weekend….so dangerous)
Belt: Asos
Shoes: The Horse
Floral Hair Tie: Found in the flea markets in Amsterdam….sigh….take me back! My lovely friend Megan McKean is travelling europe on her honeymoon at the moment and I’m enjoying seeing her adventures to places I’ve been and some I haven’t. You can see them too, if you like, here. Kx
I got this super cute vintage handmade skirt the other day at the red cross shop in Newtown, for $10! I’d had my eye on in a “do i really need another skirt” kind of way, but obviously it was meant to be, on sale no less.
What I wore:
Vintage floral skirt – the red cross shop, king street Newtown (great for cheap but not usually amazing vintage)
Shoes: The Horse
Necklace: Elke Kramer
Head Scarf and Belt : Vintage
While we were away recently I picked up this beautiful little Austrian dress from Nefarious Rabbit in Berry. I have a soft spot for anything from the general vicinity of where we visited in europe (and floral, always with the floral!), so this was a cute addition to the collection of bits and pieces I picked up in Germany and Amsterdam.
Dress: Nefarious Rabbit Vintage
Belt: Asos
Shoes: The Horse (on sale right now!)
Scarf: vintage
Necklace: Used to be mums!
This little what I wore is dedicated to our lovely friend Mia at the Raisin Did It. She made this beautiful little top (along with a couple of other spectacular little numbers) for the Sydney Finders Keepers and we were so glad to not have to try to squeeze into her kids clothes anymore! Hopefully she will have a couple left for purchase in her etsy shop soon, I’ll keep you posted!
The Raisin Did It Collage Top: made from vintage and japanese fabrics, handpicked, coordinated and made by Mia herself! How could I resist this little one with embroidered birdies on the bib!?
Vintage Mocassin Boots: from etsy
Cardigan: Op shop
Necklace: So Little Time Co, another favourite purchase from the markets. All hand painted and super cute!
Another cool day in Sydney. Come on weather, make up your mind!
What I Wore:
Green Floral Prairie Dress: from this shop on etsy
Mocassins and belt: H&M
Leggings: Falke (one of the best pairs I’ve ever purchased, highly recommend!)
A rare moment where it isn’t sweltering hot today, so I grabbed out my boots, a short sleeve coat (for the rain) and stockings again. It’s a nice little change, but the puppy is BORED. Walking in the rain is just no fun.
Dress: Vintage from Veb Orange in Berlin (yes, this shop really is as awesome as it looks!) and there’s a funny story that goes along with this one, because I remember drooling over Nikkis photos of dresses months ago after I’d been to Berlin wondering what shop it was and how I missed out on such amazingness, only to go into Veb Orange and nab the very dress I wanted in Nikkis photos!!! Meant to be or what?
Coat: Bardot, but bought from Salvos.
Belt: DJ’s outlet at Birkenhead Point
Boots: Vintage
Brooch: BRAND NEW (infact I’m gluing them as we speak)! Made By White Flower Basket brooch. Check it out here!
