Finders Keepers Fun!

8 December 2011

We had lots of fun at the Finders Keepers last weekend, here are some snaps of the best bits!

Made by white goodies!

Candy Stripe Cloud Garden Stakes and colourful chain necklaces!

Super cute Candy Stripe Cloud and Andrea Smith christmas decorations, displayed beautifully with Andrea’s amazing screen printed wrapping paper!

Lots of Storybook Rabbit goodies including brooches, plates, bunting packs, one off ceramic pieces and lolly jars.

Wilfy on a plate, which I kind of threw together at the last minute the week before the market. He was a very popular choice and I sold all the Wilfred plates I had made!

We had lots of creative friends with beautiful stalls, including our stall-neighbour Andrea Smith who was selling prints, hand-printed christmas paper, cards and of course the decorations her and Lynds collaborated on.

Made590 was represented too of course, with some of the most amazing clothing, gifts and gifty pieces.

Our dear friend Mechelle Smitten was the highlight of the zine room! With zines galore, brooches, plates, hand drawn ceramic beauties and other bits and pieces.

Our talented friend Mia aka The Raisin Did It had a fab stall brimming with beautiful kids wear, one off ladies tops (which we all hastily purchased) and lots of fun little bargains.

We are always so happy to be part of The Finders Keepers Markets! We always meet lots of new friends, see old ones once again and make lots of great purchases on the day! A special mention must also go to the lovely Lalita from Me and Oli with her beautiful tailor shop set up (and spectacular range of clothing), The Horse for making PERFECT shoes (which we purchased several pairs of!) and for always being so great to chat to, The lovely folks from So Little Time Co for making such cute jewellery and for sharing bunny stories with me, and our stall neighbours Serpent and Swan for being such nice people to bump into several times an hour. Also thanks everyone who came down to say hi, purchased something on the day, or just made the market the highlight it always is. Kx

New Collaboration- Lisa Manuels

20 October 2011

Lisa Manuels is an illustrator and designer based in the Netherlands who draws some of the cutest bunnies, bears and just about anything else you can think of that’s adorable! We’ve worked with her on this latest range to produce some of our favourite little collaboration brooches. Knitting bunnies, beekeeping bears and even tiny illustrations in coloured wooden frames, there’s something you will be sure to love. You can view the range here or check out lisa blog and online shop for more of her great work.

New Collaboration: Mel Stringer

10 August 2011

We’re sure you are no strangers to Mel’s amazing work, but incase you’ve missed her in Frankie or doing work for various events and organisations, here she is, working with us on some jewellery! YAY. Mel is based in Brissy and is a super lovely and creative lady! She has a beautiful etsy shop and blog and is also a photographer extraordinaire! It was such a pleasure to work with her on this latest range which includes perspex kitties, wooden girls with red glasses and handpainted bows, even siamese bunny girls in little laminate caps! You can view the range in full here. We hope you like them!

New Collaboration: Lauren Carney

1 August 2011

We have had the pleasure of working with miss Lauren Carney on this little collaboration, whom we’ve been big fans of since meeting her at one of the Brissy Finders Keepers Markets years ago, if not even before that! You can check out more of Lauren’s work here on her website and here on her blog. This amazingly talented lady came up with some of the cutest and most detailed drawings to transform into jewellery and boy did they turn out great! She’s encapsulated all we love with owls, bunnies, nautical goodness and even indians in her own unique and truely special style! They are a must see and are available RIGHT NOW. Get in quick, as always they are limited edition pieces, each one hopefully going to a very special home. We hope you like them as much as we do. Kx

New Collaboration: Peppermint Daydreams

25 July 2011

Well everyone, here is a little bit of exciting news for your monday. We have a new collaboration range for you all to see this week. It’s with Californian based Christy Pepper Dawson, aka Peppermint Daydreams. YAY!!!

Her range is full of quirky characters and we just love every piece. There is an amazing Gumball Monster necklace for all of you who are less brooch inclined than others, as well as some other stand out pin-on pieces! Christy is queen of the macabre and unusual, which is why we love her designs! You can see lots more of Christy’s work here and admire her other pretty wares in her etsy shop! Hope you love the new bits as much as we do and as always these pieces are limited edition, so be quick if you love them. Kx
