Lately we’ve been enjoying our new pasta maker (except for when we tried to make ravioli, which was an epic fail), which we purchased last weekend. We made this delicious tomato basil fettuccini the day we got it.
And when presented with several giant zucchinis grown in mum and dads’ garden…
We made this delicious zucchini squash and ricotta number.
And this is one of usual work night dinners, veggie nachos with beans, salsa & sour cream! Katie had a super easy recipe on her blog last week if you want an even easier version!
Things have also been a little (ie: a lot) exciting around here lately. Lynds and Ben will be tying the knot in less than a month, which means trial wedding CAKE! This is their delicious vegan rainbow layer cake with orange blossom and tofutti cream cheese. Amazing!
Did I ever mention we watch a fair bit of iview around these parts, which means we often get suckered into new Nigella episodes. Despite fast forwarding half the episode which involves a lot of meat based dishes, this is her amazing chocolate olive oil cake I baked, which was featured in one of her latest “italian” episodes. I do love a good dessert, have i mentioned that before?
And finally, our lazy sunday breakfast of chocolate raspberry pancakes we later worked off patching and painting ceilings, i guess this kinda counts as dessert too, right? Happy monday! Kx

Chocolate Olive Oil cakes are delicious. I hate the word, but they’re always perfectly moist. Haha.
Pasta looks great! I saw super cute heart ravioli for Valentines Day. Maybe that can be your next attempt! ;)
Katie says:
I can’t believe you made that olive oil chocolate cake! I have been obsessing over the idea of that cake ever since I saw it on Nigellissima the other day. I think the universe is telling me I really, really need to bake that cake!
This all looks incredibly delicious!
