Mums Who Knit
We’re lucky enough to have inherited a fair bit of general craftiness from the amazing lady we call “Mum”. Here is what she has been up to in this wintery weather. KNITTING!
I saw mum last week and she showed up with this BEAUTIFUL hexagon blanket I’d mentioned to her months ago after finding the crochet pattern on etsy. Little did I know she was working on it the whole time since and now that its finally done we can enjoy its overwhelming prettiness and warmth on our couch.
You might remember the deer jumper mum knitted me last winter, well this time round I asked for a kitty jumper and let me just say I’m IN LOVE. The original kittens were based on the very clever Tiny Owl Knits‘ kitten mittens, which mum also knitted for me. Needless to say its become my new favourite, especially when this weather has been SO cold and the woollen kitties are SO warm.
and these amazing knee high socks are also perfect for this crazy cold we’ve had the last few days. The best thing is Mum knows exactly the colours that I love and usually what she comes up with is a million time better than I ever imagine it could be!
And seeing as I spent a lot of time with Blythes last week, she’s been knitting for them too! These little elephant jumpers are THE CUTEST, no?
and she had also made a little green beanie to match Olive’s new dress! We’re both so spoilt! Kx

Your Mum is the cleverest craftswoman ever. I’ve been in awe of her work for decades & what makes her even more special is the fact that she’s so modest about her work. Every craft she’s done she’s mastered so quickly & easily & then immediately helped others.
I’m lucky enough to have a crafty mum too & I have some gorgeous jumpers my mum has knitted me over the years.
