What I wore…last week.

28 June 2011

Ok, so I was sitting here last week reading my daily RSS of the blogs I love and something occurs to me. I love to see what people wear. It fascinates me and the blogs I really love involve fashion, happy couples and vintage junk. Basically what matters to me matters to these people and I really enjoy that glimpse into their lives.

So I’ve decided I’d do a “what I wore” post for the first time…bare with me because I find it a little embarrassing but because I have a ridiculous amount of clothing, which I do try to wear at every available opportunity I thought it was fitting. So here’s what I wore on one of my days off (last week). If I had the time I’d love to illustrate outfits like Gemma does, but alas, for now that one will stay a dream.

Dress is vintage, probably one of my all time faves.

Boots are Vintage, Tights are from Target, Cardigan is from Berlin.

Things I’m Loving This Week…

27 June 2011

This photo my friend Sugako sent me of the Blythe Store in Daikanyama, I cant wait to go visit her and see Japan! but Lynds is heading there before me, next week!

New plates.

Bambi planter care of made590, cactus care of bunnings.

Reuniting old friends on our new walls.

My custom made cardy by Nora Knitwear on etsy. Mary is the most lovely person and her knitwear is TO DIE FOR. This is my second purchase.

Juno’s veiny ears in the sunshine, doing what bunnies do best, digging.

Our new round of collaboration jewellery! If you’re in Brissy this weekend ( you lucky thing, I wish I was!) you should definately visit miss Lauren Carney’s stall at The Finders Keepers Market and see it all first hand! Kx

Things I’m Loving This Week..

21 June 2011

Juno “helping” me take photos of plates.

And only being able to stop her “helping” with parsley, as a momentary distraction.

New pencils.

Making sweet risotto for dinner when no one is around to tell me not to.

My new ( but still disorganised) attic work space.

Tea for two.

A sleeping bunny curled under my arm.

This plate.

And juno having a backyard to dig around in and being able to lay in the sun, even though she still prefers being on the couch next to the heater. Kx

Moving

16 June 2011

The thing about moving house is that everything you love goes into boxes and disappears into a distant memory of what you used to have until its unpacked into your new place and then you find yourself struggling for weeks to find things and organise and get some kind of normality happening. Welcome to my world right now. Here is a little reminder (mostly for myself) of my old place and what I loved most about it.

The frame wall took under an hour to disassemble and now that they are all packed up again I don’t know if I can be bothered re-sticking each one to the wall, though it is a great excuse to buy some new prints for the home I now share with my very lovely man!

Besides our stuff being everywhere, our new home is beyond lovely. So much space (no more kitchen bench work area for this girl) and everything is all freshly painted and new. The bunny agrees of course and she seems to have been given a new lease on life, deciding to claim a prime position next to us on the couch and make blanket-nests to sleep in, something we only dreamt of her doing before.

We also made some pretty great soup over the long weekend (juno stuck to the celery leaves). Veggie minestrone with herb bread and too much parmesan. Hope you all had a lovely weekend too. Kx

Lately…

6 June 2011

A few things we’ve been working on lately. Ive made lots of cute custom plates for lovely people and their lovely sisters, little girls and boyfriends.

I’ve also been ddmiring said lovely people’s baby bunnies (thanks for the photos Megan). There is nothing cuter really! What’s better than a rabbit in a hat? TWO baby rabbits in a hat of course. Or two bunnies on a toadstool!

Lynds and I have also been working on more collaborations! With some people you may recognize and others you might discover for the first time. Very exciting and available very soon.

My boy and I have also spent a fair bit of time with a certain rabbit of ours…mostly in front of the heater when the sun goes down. In other exciting news we’ll all have a new home by the weeks end. SO exciting and also SO incredibly overwhelming. Packing is a drag, but a new home together is a dream come true. Wish us luck with the big move and forgive the possible lack of posts in the mean time! Kx
