A quick sneak peek at some new necklaces and brooches we’ve been working on lately. Animal daydreams, breakfast snacks and take away coffees. What more could anyone need? Kx

A few bits and pieces I picked up recently. New yellow kitty, bunny planter, communist red alarm clock (i know a little strange, but i couldn’t resist for $2) & another cute wicker purse.
I also managed to pick up this cute teal wool jacket which is a SSW size (small small womens) from that cute salvos dress shop on king street, as well as this cute floral nanna cardy I’ll change the ugly gold button on before its cold enough to wear it.
On the weekend despite the crappy weather we decided to take a drive to the north side and visit some cute shops. We stopped into Beattie Lanser and had a look at her cute space and met the lady herself, who is completely lovely and gives good coffee recommendations. YAY. Her shop is tiny and pretty and full of bright unique clothing and it also has a brand new sign. You should check it out! Or visit her blog here.

We also stopped in at Pulp, which is actually along the same road as Beattie’s. Pulp is a must see if you love stationary, and really, who doesnt? They also have a great online store and website (created by my ultra talented sister!) Here is what I purchased: a book of pretty labels by dutch door press, paper flowers for future projects, a pencil which is actually a pen (genius!) and cute dot stickers!
I also REALLY love pulps selection of papers, and these are the ones I chose this visit.
Oh, and I also got to wear my new dress on saturday. This is it, though this is not me in photo, I failed to take one on the day. Amazing, no? It’s from Gina Michele Eco on etsy. She does wonderful one-off things with vintage fabric as well as other cute stuff. Kx
So I’m kind of in love with my new dress (yes, I needed another one) it’s by an extremely lovely lady I found on etsy, called Supayana (aka Yana Gorbulsky). She makes really cute clothing from recycled and vintage fabrics in her own cute patterns (she even made to my measurements!). This milkshake dress print is based on a beautiful illustration by Sara of Pinpals fame, who I’m a huge fan of, so it was a must have. I’m also very fond of this, this, this and this. And pretty much anything Yana puts her hand to. I wore this dress today and literally had about 10 people ask me where I got it from, so due to its popularity, if you want one, clickety click Kx
Sometimes the best things arrive bubble wrapped in boxes.
This amazing bunny head arrived at the po box this week from this lovely lady. Christina Gordon aka Jamfancy is an extremely talented artist and I spied her beautiful prints in a lovely little cafe on our last trip to Melbourne, where she is based. But seeing what she had done with her ceramics completely blew me away and I quickly arranged a swap with her for some of my plates, if she were ever to find the time to make a bunny something for me.
And here is my bunny something. Amazing, no? I’m in love and desperately searching for a strong enough nail to hang it on!
If you’re super nice to her, Christina might make you something too, or you can buy her beautiful prints here in her etsy shop. OR you can stay tuned, as she’s also going to be part of a new Made By White project thats currently in the works. Yay! Kx
Our lovely nanna turned 87 on the weekend. To celebrate I baked mini chocolate cupcakes (these were mostly for our nephews benefit) and raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake cupcakes for the oldies. It was nice to bake again, I hardly get a chance anymore but seeing as my boy was returning home as well, it was a day that deserved baked goods.
if you’d like a pretty fail safe recipe for basic butter cakes, here it is:
125g butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
3/4 cup caster sugar
2 eggs
1&1/2 cups SR flour
1/2 cup milk
to which I usually add about 2 table spoons of cocoa powder & about half a block of lindt 70% dark chocolate roughly chopped for the chocolate cakes. And for the raspberry ones I minus some sugar and milk and add some sour cream (to make them lighter) and half a pack of frozen raspberries and a handful or two of white choc chips.
The icing for the chocolate ones is basically the other half of the block of lindt chocolate and 100g or so of butter softened and whipped into the (cooled) melted chocolate. Raspberry ones I whip 3/4 block of philly cheese with half a cup (give or take -as needed) of sugar and thats it. Easy Peasy!
I didn’t get a photo of the final product except for this one of the mini chocolate ones on one of my latest plates. You know, when the props are available you need to take advantage! Kx

This week I’ve been in cahoots with See Me Everywhere, a great blog which I have followed for some time, created by the lovely Ilana McMorran, a fellow bunny owner (see below for her adorable bunny Flopsy) and super nice lady.
We’ve organized a little giveaway for all our bunny-loving blog friends. Enter and you could win any item from my etsy shop of your choosing, to the value of $35, which is almost everything in there right now.
All you need to do is pick something that takes your fancy and leave a comment here, on Ilana’s blog, which by the way is just adorable so you should check it out regardless! I do love baby bunnies, and this photo makes me want to get another one, one with less attitude and more cuddle time. Kx
The mouse will arrange her vintage dress collection by colour. It’s grown since last time, thankyou etsy. Kx
