I know pretty much every blog I read has been apologising for their absence from blog land lately and this time of year is so crazy busy at the best of times, But I must say working in a shop that is basically a gift wonderland or running an online store really makes things even more difficult to find time to blog, so please forgive us!
In exciting news I am currently making big plans for our trip to Berlin in January where I will wander the snowy streets in search of amazing vintage markets and decent coffee (apparently this will be the hardest to find!) and generally trying not to freeze to death on a train somewhere (only kidding mum, I’ll be fine). So hopefully if I can find a decent internet connection (the next hardest thing to find in Germany) I will be bringing you all along with me :)
Anyway here’s just a quick note to say I’m having a short but sweet last minute sale over at Storybook where you can have 15% off anything in the shop until thursday morning. We had lots of fun last weekend holding our stall at the Finders Keepers Christmas market and boy was it a good one! If you didn’t make it down here are a few highlights from our little set up.
There were some standout favourites at the market that everyone seemed to NEED to get their hands on, like Lyndsay’s Candy Stripe Cloud Blackboard Garden Stakes and Apple Shelf which are both an absolute bargain price for handmade goodness and a perfect gift for anyone, anytime, so not surprisingly they were a sell-out success at the market.
As well as the candy stripe cloud brooches, who all have a personality of their own!
Our new Made By White range also had a great response at the market, with lots of people picking them up and laughing (which is always good!) I especially like the super pug brooch and flower watering can, which we sold lots of!
The cute little trinket boxes I made for the market sold like hotcakes on friday night, as well as all the plates I’d been working on for months leading up to the event. Luckily I have lots of new things still if you missed out, but I think there’s going to be a lot of Storybook Rabbit goodness opened on Christmas morning.
Our free bunting/christmas brooch giveaway was lots of fun and a big thank you to anyone that came down and bought something or expressed their interest in what we do. It’s always really nice to meet the people who comment on our blog, buy from us online, or just come down to the markets to see it all in person. Kx
Lots going on this week as we prepare for the Finders Keepers! The weather has definitely not been our friend (boooo rain!!!) so we hope it stops raining tomorrow and we can have some more of that beautiful Sydney weather, it IS summer now after all. We are having a quite a big stall at the markets so we have lots and lots of goodies to fill it up with!
Here’s some things we have been up to!
Busily making paper bunting – we have made this in 3 different designs (Made by White, Candy Stripe Cloud & Storybook Rabbit) we are giving them away free to our customers at the markets!
We will also be giving away these cute little Christmas brooches too with purchases, there is 4 to choose from!
We (well, Ben) has been hanging out at bunnings and using lots of screws to make our backing boards! We are making a 4 meter wall, so (we hope) you cant miss us!
He also got the job of cutting down big blocks of Styrofoam so we can make some steps in our display at the markets. Thanks reverse garbage, you saved the day!
There is also bunnies galore and colourful paper flowers for our displays!!

Mum as also been busy making granny square bunting! too cute!
Hopefully this will all come together by tomorrow night but at the moment I’m feeling quite nervous it’s always such a big job behind the scenes!
