Successful Searching

31 August 2010

I love it when searching etsy daily for something really pays off. I’m a bit obsessive about it with my deers, and when I saw these it was one of those “oh my god” moments. A weeks or so later and they’ve arrived! My two new friends!

Another Etsy find which i’m pretty chuffed about! These amazing vintage bunny stickers. The rabbits ARE WEARING HATS!!!! I don’t think it can get better than this. EVER. One of them looks like red riding hood!

And I totally scored at the op-shops today. I love having a creative venture that allows for this to be part of my routine, but I love even more going to those crazy little op-shops where the old ladies have crooked makeup and bitch about how ridiculous the prices are, then give it all to you for $5. This is precisely what happened to me today at this weird cat society op-shop which has become my new favourite haunt.

And obviously, Juno loves op-shopping days, because I let her play cubby houses with the wrappings. Kx

Hi Kelly, check out this blog:

they have pics of printable vintage hankies & a link to download them. I thought they might fit your vintage collection.
    They’d make pretty notecards.
    cheers, Jan :-)

I feel the need for some op shopping soon. I have a day when it’s just me and I go to a whole bunch. I have a thing for furniture at the moment but of course, a lot of it is impracticle so it stays at the shop waiting for someone else to give it a good home.

Oh my gosh! I just saw your brass dali-like deers here in the post above and actually had tears rolling down my face! My gran used to have a pair just like that (about a million years ago), and I have been searching ebay, etsy, opshops, everywhere for the last few years looking for a pair just like them! I know it’s an odd question, but would you mind sharing the name of the Etsy seller? I know its a long shot that they’ll find another pair, but so far they are the closest I have found to them!!
I hope thats ok to ask??!
    Cheers,
    Shann
