Favourite Fabrics Project

9 February 2010

Today I was going to write a post about my favourite vintage floral fabrics but after I photographed them I decided they were too pretty to just pack away again.

So I made a bag!

I’m a bit of a “save it incase” kinda girl, so it was pretty hard to cut into my favourites. I mean what if one day I wanted to make a dress and happened to be 10cm short because I’d hacked into them for a bag? But then I thought, such is life, and this way I get to admire them everyday. Kx

ack! that bag so very sweet!
im also very jealous of your gorgeous fabric collection

i do the same thing… hold on and think, no i might want to use it later! but chances are i’ll buy more in the meantime and forget what i already have so may as well use it eh? and with cure results like your bag, it’s absolutely worth it.

I know exactly what you mean about wanting to make a dress and then not having enough left – I am the same with beads, I keep wanting to save them for a “special” necklace!!

you ALMOST motivated me to do the same…then I remembered i would have to iron all those fabric bits i have first…aarrggh.
